“Trapper John, M.D.” is a medical drama series that aired from 1979 through 1986. The series spins off from the character ‘Trapper John’ from the well-acclaimed “M*A*S*H” series and propels him into the contemporary times, some 28 years after the events of the Korean War. Unlike its predecessor which was a comedy-drama set in a war zone, “Trapper John, M.D.” evolves into a much more serious tone, delving deep into the professional and personal life of its lead character, Dr. “Trapper” John McIntyre.
